Cami Freeman
Landscape Designer
Cami Freeman
Landscape Designer
Cami’s journey to design began in the Bay Area, where her dad, an environmental consultant, instilled a deep respect for nature and environmental stewardship. This foundation led her to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where she studied horticulture under Matt Ritter and developed a passion for plants. Cami has always been curious about the intersection of plants, people, and place, which brought her to landscape architecture. Cami attended the University of Washington for her master’s and learned the principles and justice forward approach to design. The therapeutic element of nature and landscape is something she hold’s close to my heart, and explored how different types of therapeutic frameworks for design can be integrated with different therapies used for people healing from trauma. She stays active with surfing, rock climbing, yoga, and dancing. Cami also enjoy drawing and occasionally dabbling in circus arts.

Beginning as a draftsman and a great coffee maker in a residential estate design-build firm in Chicago, Ian learned then that the process of design always starts with one key element – a story. A story provides coherence to an idea and guidance to creating great places. And Ian does love to tell a great story. Through his 20+ years in design, Ian has been fortunate to craft great places, from estate gardens, to resorts, to multi-family housing and mixed-use developments.
